What a bittersweet holiday this was. It was one Son’s First one home, and the others last. Sitting back and taking it all in knowing that these are precious moments. These are the moments that are becoming a part of family life, the departures and arrivals of boys. The coming and goings of adult in our home. It’s the hardest on the youngest Megan. On Family Night the first Monday in December we decorate the Christmas Tree. It is something we have always done. We are our Christmas Carols playing and have dessert when we are done. Some years it goes better than others, and it always amazes me that for the most part they do enjoy this part of Christmas. But as I reflect on years past this is one of my favorite things we do. It is fun to get all the ornaments out and remember where we got certain ones, and how old some are. What grade they were in and a few carry a picture along with them. These always bring laughter to the evening. So as traditions go this is a favorite. Merry Christmas to All.
