Sunset. . .

Just a few weeks ago we went as a Family on a Friday Night Surfing Sess. It was so fun and I hope that we are able to go again soon. As I sat on the beach watching my Men catch that perfect wave, and Megan playing in the surf I got the chance to take some random pictures. I caught some of the sunset. It was beautiful and so wonderful to sit and take in the atmosphere. There are times in your life when you just catch a glimpse of how lucky you are. This was one of those moments for me. I feel so blessed to be able to be there at that moment and watch. Watch my daughter be a kid and carefree, playing in the surf and enjoying the day. Watch my Men hanging out together and talking and laughing and pushing each other to get the next wave. Watch this family enter act and enjoy the moment of being together. Watch the Day go to Night and the changes in the Sky and the Sun setting saying Good-bye. Watch as they gather in the end and laugh and talk about what they considered the Perfect Wave. Watch as they considered someone Else's perspective. In life's busy every day challenges and busy schedules, I find myself reflecting on the past, present, and future of this family of mine. The Past is sometimes somewhere I find myself thinking about and hoping that whatever mistakes I made didn't have any lasting effects on my children. The Past in something that when I am there I remember the busy, hectic moments of young children and how much easier that time seems now. The Past is something that I can't change but with hope that I can do better. The Past is where my 4 little men and one little lady once were. The Present is where 4 men and one young lady are now, and are growing faster than I can blink. The Present is where I watch them make decisions that will make them who they will become. The Present is where I am content and happy with this life. The Present is where I watch us grow as a family and become more than that to each other. The Future is where I see who my Children will become. The Future is where all my hope and dreams for them go. The Future is what I see when I hear them talk about who they want to be. The Future is where I see David and I growing closer and older together. The Beach is my calming place where I love to go to help me reflect and remember why? Why its all worth it...
