It's finally here, November 4, 2008

We are so happy it's finally November. We will be happy to see Wednesday. We pray and hope that all the hard work and efforts will present a positive outcome. We feel so blessed to have faced the challenge head on and completed our task. This was not easy. It took many weekends and long days. I feel blessed to be numbered among the saints in California that took a Stand for what is right. Our Dear Prophet addressed us in a letter and asked for our support. I truly hope that our children and the children throughout the California Wards and Stakes learned from the Adult examples around them how the follow the Prophet. Tonight in Family Home Evening we had a lesson on Following the Prophet. We wanted our children to understand what it means when a Prophet of God speaks to his people. The boys understood, and remarked that they didn't need to be slapped in the head to know that we heed to the Prophet words. They compared it to being asked to serve missions, you don't question it. You just do it. We wanted to make sure Megan was understanding the message because a lot of the discussion was a little over her understanding of the gospel. She remarked, "I get it Daddy, Follow the Prophet just like the song, Follow the Prophet and don't go astray." Can't say it better than that. But we are looking forward to Wednesday when Family life can return to normal. Tomorrow their is still much work to do, hang door hangers, Kevin is a Poll Captain, and make phone calls. So tomorrow by 8:00pm things will start to settle down. This has been a very emotional time. It's hard to look at our children and realize that not every one feels that family is something to protect. It's hard to watch the behavior of others to see and realize their tolerance is lacking. Family has been the same throughout all of time. Marriage between a Man and Woman has stood longer than this Country has. What makes us think that our Father in Heaven will be pleased with anything less than what he established in the first place with Adam and Eve. I pray that the efforts put forth throughout these past couple of months will be positive. And that our Father in Heaven will give us strength if their not.
