Today I am keeping a journal and I apologize now if it appears that I'm rambling. There won't be any pictures just my thoughts. After all this is a history. So I felt impressed today to put my thoughts down in script. This past weekend was a very busy one. We not only attended the temple twice in two days. We also went on our weekly Prop 8 walk. Now a guess this is why I'm writing, to describe my feeling and express how the weekend went. To those of you not living in the State of California, we are on a journey to protect marriage. Yes, that's what I said to protect marriage. Marriage between a man and woman how Heavenly Father intended it to be. Now let me say that these weekend walks are not easy for me I get a stomach ache two days before, and every time I think about it. And on the day of, the ache just continues. Not because I don't agree but because of the unknown. That shouldn't be to hard to understand for those who know me, I like to know whats going on and be organized. Saturday came and as usually I had my ache. But I pressed forward. Kevin our oldest goes with me. Now I have to say He has the door thing down. Tyler our second goes with David. Now Saturday never goes smoothly and I have to admit I'm a little grumpy before we leave. But as usual it went well. Most people are very polite, and glad you are bringing the information to them. There is the occasional person who is rude or tells you, it's none of their business, or we have bigger problems. Well, I'm sorry this is a big problem. Our families are under attack. The family as our grandparents and even parents knew are trying by the world's standard to be dissolved. That's not okay. On Saturday Kevin and I ran into a religious group that told us we support that but we are staying neutral we don't VOTE! I thought to myself,we don't vote how can that be. What do you stand for or fight for. After we finished for the day. This just festered in me all day. Thankfully I was blessed to be going to the temple again. We went on Friday night for a ward sealing assignment which was great. On Saturday we were blessed to be able to go with a future missionary in our ward. And what a blessing that was. At the end when we were gathered together and talking. We discussed the early saints and how the temple work got started, how they left the beautiful temple and lost their dear prophet to the mobs. Well, I thought I am only being asked to walk thought out my own town, and Stand for something morally correct. I'm not leaving my home, or temple, or trekking across ed the plains and losing my loved one along the way. How blessed we are that Joseph Smith had the courage to Stand Tall, how blessed we are that the saints our ancestors had the courage to follow. I' m very blessed to have never questioned the Gospel, or a prophet. I am not going to start questioning my leaders now. I feel so very blessed to live in a Stake with a righteous Stake Presidency who does as their asked. I feel very blessed to know that the members in our stake that have been asked to head this up have the courage to stand Tall. I am so blessed to have a testimony and I know that is what keeps me moving forward. I know that though all the example's around us my children are learning to Stand Tall. Our standards are what set us apart. If we don't have the courage to Stand Tall, than no one will. I thank my heavenly father daily for blessing me so. I have a wonderful family that I was raised in, my parents who brought me up in the gospel to know right form wrong. They gave me a standard on which to grow and gain a testimony of my own. I am so blessed to have found someone who is my best friend and be able to marry him in the temple and raise a family in the gospel. I am blessed to be a part of his family. I feel very blessed to know the church is true and that our Prophet Thomas S. Monson is a true Prophet. I know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God, he did translate the Book of Mormon. I am blessed to be able to read it with my family every morning. Our family has been blessed in so many ways and we have been able to be apart of so many wonderful things, while David has been Bishop. I hope we all will Stand Tall, even when life throws those curve balls at us. Thanks for listening.

Wow Juls I thought about you all day on Saturday knowing that you were going to go out and do that. The funny thing this sunday my family wasnt feeling well so well took it easy and watched all the work and the glory movies. To your comment about leaving your home, precious things, losing family members along the way to stand up for our beliefs, Is what those movies are all about. How lucky we are to live at the time we live in, it is a trying time and I am grateful that we have a belief and the knowledge that we have. Good job on standing up for what is right. It scares me to have my children grow up in such a scary world I pray that I can be an example to them. Right now you are being an example and I am grateful for you. I love you and miss you so much and am looking so forward to Thanksgiving.

What a great thing you have done. I know that I would feel the same way. I would be sick because of the unknown. But I agree with you 100% about what the earlier Saints had to go through and the challenges and trials they faced and they did it because of the faith they had in the gospel and wanting better for their families. Sarah my friend from high school has moved out to Cali and she is also doing the door to door talking and she is concerned also I hope the other saints and members of other faiths stand up and the battle for righteousness succeeds.
