18 years ago on September 14, 1990 at 1:15pm on a Friday afternoon. After a hard labor we were blessed with a healthy baby boy. His name is Kevin David Beck. He was 6lbs 14oz and 21 inches long. He is the first grandchild on both sides. He has done many things first. He was the first to drive, first to graduate, first to receive the priesthood, first to get baptized. He is a great big brother , great friend, loves his little cousins who are all a great deal younger than him on both sides. He loves his family. He's attending Chaffey College, in the hopes of going to UCLA or University of Utah. He would like to be a Dentist and work with his Dad. He enjoys wake boarding, snow boarding, riding dirt bikes, and going surfing. He loves computers and all the things that go into that. He is a good example to his friends and family. He enjoys going places and hanging out with his family. He is enrolled in a scuba course right now, to get certified. He very excited about that. He is a blessing in our lives. I depend on him greatly. He is getting himself ready to go on a mission. He is looking forward to that. We are very proud of him and the kind of young man is has become. As a Mother I have watched him grow and change a lot in the past year. He has gained a strong testimony that will help carry him through the tough times of a mission. I looked though pictures this week and I can't believe that my happy, easy going, excited about everything he did as a child. Is turning 18. It is very hard to believe but, I am so blessed and honored to be able to be his mother and be apart of his growing up. He is truly a blessing in our family. Its hard to believe that we are here. Happy Birthday Kevin. I am very happy to be your mom, I have enjoyed helping you along your path to adulthood. You are excited about the changes to come your way. Mission being the first within the next year. We are very pleased with how you handle the challenges that you have faced through High School. You are a great example to your younger brothers and little sister. They love you and Megan adores you. I love you and hope it's a great day! Happy Birthday!!!
