Halloween 2011

Halloween 2011, this year Megan was Alice in Wonderland, Kyle was a Surfer Dude, Tyler dressed up as a Construction worker. And unfortunately the rest of us were Party Poopers. Megan had a ruff year this Halloween realizing that all of her brothers weren’t going Trick or Treating. She wasn’t to happy about that. Well for starters it is hard to realize everyone is growing up and that happened this year for her. Her whole world is changing and it feels like over night for her. She realized that not only are they not going trick or treating with her this year but that soon 2 would be out of the house. Kevin will be home soon and before she wants it, off to College and Tyler is waiting for his Mission Call and will also be gone. Our Family is in a weird spot, we are often forgotten about because we have the older Cousins and Grandkids. Most of the time its just people think the boys are too old for things. But Megan is only 10 and she is now dealing with all 4 boys being older at once. This is the first year she didn’t have her brothers and the Merkley boys to go with. And let me just say it was a hard night when she figured that all out. But in the end things worked out. She got invited to go to Disneyland on Halloween, which was great and they only had 5min waits for the rides. And I invited the Laniers to join us for Halloween. We had a great night, fun hanging out and we enjoyed the company. Grandpa and Grandma Beck decided to stay in town this year so they also joined us and Danny and Melissa joined us later in the evening. So Happy Halloween, hope it was fun for all.
