In our home we treat certain things different. And I am by no means saying that our way is the only way. But in our Home when you’re a child your job is School. Your Grades are your success. They are congratulated, we give Big Hugs, We give Praise, We occasionally put the Grades up on the Frig. But we never pay for grades. Often my Children have complained that their friends all get money for good grades. My comment is always,”That’s Nice!” And we never make to big of a deal over the State Tests, personally I am not to sure what they prove and the fact that they test Every Year from 2nd grade on is a little crazy. Some kids test well, others not so good. I am not sure if you can get me to totally think to much of State Tests. My children are lucky they have always done well on the Tests. But we don’t ever think to much of it. But this year, Megan’s school had a big Awards Assembly for the Kids that Placed Advanced on One or More Subjects. I went because I received a letter telling me that Megan would be getting an Award. She did, and I have to say that we were proud of her. Out of all my kids she is the one that it matters too. She wants to always do her best, and no matter what you say she still thinks it is something she should do her best. We did agree that she should always do her best. So to my surprise she not only did Advanced on most Subjects but was the only one in her class to get a 100% on the Math section. Good Job Megan…
